Chulu East Peak Climbing                        Chulu east peak 5334m climbing is the popular trekking peaks in Annapurna region. Chulu east peak climbing offers panoramic Himalayan views including the Annpurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna , Tilicho peak , Pisang peak , Manaslu , Peak 38, Thurung peak etc. The first ascent of the North East Ridge was by Dick Isherwood and John Noble leading a mountain travel climbing group in May 1979.Chulu East forms part of the Manang Himal. The North East Ridge is considered the normal route to climb this peak from a base camp on the moraines at 5334m. Many climbers make it to the top and back from base camp in one long day although others decide to establish a higher camp below the peak. Chulu east peak was first climbed in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition team. The Base Camp of this peak is situated in a small valley North of Manang, the main trail to the Thorang La. There is a controversy regarding the name and location of the Chulu peaks. There are several peaks close by and are also a part of Chulu massif but are not indicated in the map. Thus it is difficult to differentiate between the two Chulus. However, the Chulu group comprises of four peaks: two in the east and two in the west. Chulu West may also be called Chulu Central. There is no technical difficulty in ascending this peak but progress can be slow as the slopes are vulnerable to avalanches in certain conditions. .

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel & welcome dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and prepare for trekking and climbing.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to BesiShahar-823m
Day 04: Trek to Bahundada-1311m (approx. 7 hr)
Day 05: Trek to Jagat-1314m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 06: Trek to Chame-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 07: Trek to Hongde- 3300m (approx. 4 hr)
Day 08: Acclimatization day (you can do some excursion trip going about 4000m and come down which would be the good acclimatization)
Day 09: Trek to Chulu base camp-3910m
Day 10: Trek to High camp 4955m
Day 10: High Camp 4955m (if well acclimatized, you can attempt the summit. If not, rest at the high camp for the next day)
Day 12: Base Camp-3910m (weather permitting, you'll make the summit ascent this day and return to base camp
Day 13: Trek to Manang
Day 14: Trek to Thorung Phedi-440m (5-6 hr)
Day 15: Trek to Muktinath crossing over the Thorung La-5416m (8-9 hr)
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 18: Trek to Tukchey-2391m (approx. 4 hr)
Day 19: Trek to Ghasa-2013m (approx.6 hr)
Day 20: Trek to Tatopani-1189m (approx 6 hr)
Day 21: Trek to Shikha
Day 22: Shikha to Ghorepani
Day 23: Ghorepani to Tikheduhunga
Day 24: Tikhedhunga to Pokhara
Day 25: Pokhara by bus or flight back to kathmandu.
Day 26: Kathmandu valley sightseeing, /Shopping and farewell dinner.
Day 27: Back to onward destination.
