The Nar Phu valley topography is trans Himalayan and similar to that of Tibet. The trail to this remote valley left untouched by civilizations enter from near Chame, on the trail of popular Annupurna trek. Despite the prosperity of the other area in Manang, people in this valley have remained untouched until now. Their dialect is different from others and they have not left their nomadic tradition.

Narphu valley trek  starts right from Besisahar which goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. This magnificent trek leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and majestic views of the white Himalayas.  From the koto near by chame , narphu valley trails begins with less crowded zone. There are three Buddhist monasteries dedicated to Nyingmapa sect. Nar Phu & Thoche valley is the closest area that pre Budhist tradition, culture and rituals are still in tact. Narphu valley trek passes through Meta, Phugaun, Chako, Kang La, Manang, Muktinath finally ends in Jomsom from where we fly back to Pokhara.  February to end of may and  September to end of October is the best time for the Nar phu valley trekking.
